[REVIEW] KOUZU Malaysia

Topic of the month:

“Where will you celebrate mother’s day with you mother?”

Common topic huh? I had been asked for more than 10 times since April. I myself prefer a quiet place so that I can chit chat with my family without any interruption, so I have been searching upside down thru out my favourite spots: Bukit Bintang, Bangsar, TTDI, Hartamas and Mont Kiara. And finally I found this….Kouzu Malaysia.

Thanks to the recommendation from Founder of Foodilifecious, Ms Rachael, Kouzu Malaysia in TTDI really suits my requirement for my mothers’ day celebration! Nice Environment (Awesome for a photography freak like me), Private VIP Room (Quiet, more privacy, and most importantly NO EXTRA CHARGES! Ha-ha), Japanese Cuisine (My family loves this), Smooth Traffic (No need to trap in the Peanut Butter Jam)!

We, a bunch of friends come to this restaurant with our ultimate target: Searching for the best restaurant to celebrate mother’s day or any other occasion!
And what is the result of mine? I would tell you this will be the place for sure! Come, follow me and check this out!
Once we step in, there is a warm greeting from the captain and the waiter and waitress. Besides, they will explain to you about their menu, the ingredient of the food, which is the best-selling food, and most importantly: In a polite way! You know sometimes you will felt annoying when some of the captain explain to you about their menu in a very hard selling way right? Trust me; it won’t be happen in Kouzu. (Service is definitely 5 Stars because they are very polite and concern about your experience in their restaurant)
Wall art spends one week of hardwork! Very creative in bringging out the iconic of japan –  ultraman, dragon, geisha! Nice one^^
i just spoiled my art work because the chopsticks is upside down. haha~
Alright alright… I knew you’re waiting for the food…So Here you go the saliva-dipping foods!^^
Kouzu Roasted Pumpkin With Rocket Leaves Salad
-The roasted pumpkin is not dry or hard like some of the restaurant did. It’s just nice to match with other vegetables. Good choice of Starter.

Kouzu Sashimi Salad with wasabi mayo
-I feel like I’m swimming in the sea with my girl. It’s just so fresh and nice combination with other vegetables! Maybe they ought to consider to change this dish name to “SA-SEA-MI salad”, trust me, you can feel the sea! So Better prepare a swimming trunk just in case. Haha~

Kouzu Pan Seared Tuna Foie Gras
-For anyone who is not really a fan of raw food like my bestie Teck Wah, this one will be a very nice dish for you! Pan Seared, Smooth and Juicy Tuna on a slice of foie gras! Oiiishiiii~~~~~
Kouzu Stoned-Grilled Sirloin Beef
-Sweet and juicy sirloin, near perfect beef slices from the chef! Awesome!

Kouzu Golden Baked Oysters
-This is my favourite food that I used to order in Japanese Restaurant but I would say not all the restaurant serve fresh and nice baked oysters! However, No worries in Kouzu, Fresh oysters served with creamy golden cheese. Nice! Thumbs up!!
Trust me that all the dishes are quite filling. Hence, it’s Time to share some another dishes together, shall we?
CHEF RECOMMENDATION!!!
Kouzu Ishiyaki Stoned Bowl (Donburi)
-Stone bowl rice topping with unagi, ebiko, scallops, minced chicken, red ebiko with egg! Different from Korean style of stone bowl rice, it serves with seafood and Japanese sauce. Seafood goodies rice..haha! Would definitely try again next time =)

Kouzu Japanese Escargot Pizza and Salmon Pizza
-First time trying Japanese pizza, my advice: make sure make it low profile, close your mouth while eating this, if not, the sound of crispy pizza and crunchy escargot would definitely draw attention! Haha~
Kouzu Grilled Truffle Beef With Onsen Tamago
-It just can’t describe by words, but maybe you should come here and taste the beef here, I wonder how the chef make it so juicy and well cooked.
Kouzu Sashimi Top Avocado
-Healthy dish with fresh sashimi slices! Yum Yum~~
Kouzu Baked Roll Sushi
-Me Likey! Hehe~ Awwww~~~
Kouzu Sanuki Udon Pasta
-one of the most fast-finish dish on our table, silky-smooth udon with a little bit of spicy in taste.

Kouzu Yakitori!!
Wings, Sirloin, Rock Lobster, Shitake, Okra!!
“Tender, Juicy with perfect flavour“- this is the slogan for their food here maybe?  Somebody give me their recipe please!! OMG~~ so nice!!!
Kouzu Unagi Roll
-Crispy at the outside, warm and fresh unagi in the inside. I’m don’t really eat unagi, but trust me and trust their pro chef, their unagi is very nice in smell and taste as well.
Oh ya, almost forget, yakitori must come with these!! Kouzu did offer a wide varieties of alcohols!

 MUST KNOW FACT:

OBAMA sake! Haha~ The Kamotsuro Tokusei Gold Daignjo (Kinpaku)~ The sake that Prime Minister Abe poured to the former president of the United states of America- Mr Obama. As a result, That’s how the name “Obama Sake” came from!
Thanks to the GM of KOUZU Malaysia- Mr Andrew Ong for sharing this when he saw us hanging around the liquor shelves!^^
Last but not least, I did screen thru this restaurant with my hawk-eyes and dog-nose with my chef-tongue!

So this is my result:

5 Star Exceptional environments with near perfect food! Very nice and friendly staff which treat you like friends despite it’s your first visit! Awesome experience here!
